A court in Murcia is searching for a man in order to inform him that he is not the biological father of his supposed daughter.
The Murcia court published an official announcement to try to make contact with the man, who is not the biological father of a girl born in 2015 but who was registered in the Civil Registry with his surname.
The court had to resort to publishing an edict on the matter when they realised they could not find the man in order to notify him directly.
The court ruling indicates that the appropriate correction will be made on the girl’s birth registration entry, in which the reference to the fact that she is the man’s daughter will be deleted. It is also agreed that the girl will from now on carry the mother’s two surnames.
