Government u-turn on beach mask law

Central Government and the autonomous regions have agreed to modify the “new normal law” in which masks will now not be necessary while sunbathing or swimming, as previously thought.
The meeting took place last night (Wednesday) between the autonomous regions and the central government within the Interterritorial Health Council. There, the authorities approved that the new law should not force the population to wear masks on beaches, swimming pools, lakes or reservoirs while bathing, practising sports or during periods of rest in a fixed place (i.e. sunbathing) but people should be made to wear a mask when going for a walk in such areas.
