Guardia Civil seize 3300 covid tests

Guardia Civil are investigating three people after the seizure of 3300 rapid Covid-19 tests that were set to be put on sale illegally throughout the Valencian community.
The investigation began after learning from a Pharmaceutical company that rapid COVID-19 tests were being carried out without authorization at a hardware store in one town and a Chinese Bazaar in another.
Following the tipoff, Guardia Civil carried out an inspection at one of the locations, verifying that in the back room there was a bag with a COVID-19 test box along with different utensils for its use. Some used testing equipment was also found by officers.
Officers seized both the used and unused tests, and opened an investigation into the owner of the establishment for an alleged crime against public health. Further investigation into the owner’s contacts led to a series of inspections throughout the area with over 3300 rapid test kits of various brands seized by officers.
