ILDO workers will carry out different functions from this week in the different markets and flea markets that the city of Orihuela organises across the municipality.
Councillor Bernabéu said: “We are convinced that ILDO workers will perform an extraordinary job as they have been doing since the beginning of the pandemic with disinfection work in various locations, they are very professional and we need to count on them to ensure compliance with the measures of health and safety at our markets.”
Among the tasks to be carried out by ILDO is the assembly and disassembly of the safety circuit and pedestrian routes, market access control points; cleaning and management of chemical toilets; supply materials such as information brochures, disinfectant gel, marking tape, the control of access and capacity, ensuring the use of the mask and disinfectant gel by visitors, among others.
The cost of this service, which will last for a total of 12 months, is 99,364 euros. The Department of Markets has set up a one-way communication group on WhatsApp to send fast and direct information to merchants about news or changes that may occur and ensure the process runs smoothly.
