Officers from the Local Police of Orihuela Costa have prevented a woman from throwing herself from a bridge.
The woman had intended to commit suicide and thanks to calls from several concerned motorists, police were able to save the woman’s life.
The incident took place on Saturday when the woman was attempting to throw herself from the bridge connecting San Miguel with Campoamor, more than 30 metres high.
The woman, an English national, had to be treated at the scene by a health team due to her high state of anxiety, and was later transferred to Torrevieja Hospital.
