Rafal race cancelled

Rafal town hall and Rafal Running Club have together announced the cancellation of the VII Popular Race ‘Villa de Rafal’ following advice by the General Directorate of Public Health
The Ministry of Health considers that organisers cannot control public spectators during the race and therefore does not authorize the celebration of the event, which was due to take place tomorrow (Saturday, 19th September).
Councillor for Sport, Gabriel Valero said, “We had prepared what was going to be the first race of the COVID era in the region, adopting all the security measures and requesting all the necessary permits from the health authority but in the end they do not authorize it”.
Both the Department of Sport and the running club apologize to those people who had registered for the race, which had a limit of 300 runners.
