Meanwhile, officials have taken the Hondon-Aspe school bus off the road after four positive cases were linked to the transport system.
The decision to confine the bus was made by the Elche Public Health team – both of the Hondons and Aspe are attached to the Vinalopó Health Department. The four positive cases are from the bus that travels to IES Villa de Aspe at 8am and back again at 2.30pm on weekdays.
All bus users from the same route have been told to remain isolated in their respective homes, including the two monitors and the driver. The vehicle has undergone a thorough cleaning and disinfection to remove any traces of the virus.
