Summer beach assistants in Orihuela Costa

The Mayor of Orihuela, Emilio Bascuñana, has inaugurated the 24 workers who will serve as beach assistants during the two summer months in the coastal area.
The Councillor for Emergencies, Víctor Valverde, the Councillor for Citizen Security, Ramón López, the Chief of the Local Police, José María Pomares, and the Coordinator of Civil Protection, Pepe Andúgar, were also present.
The beach assistants, who are already in place, will work two alternative days from 10am to 8pm, will offer users all the information related to compliance with the safety and hygiene measures established on each beach as a result of the health crisis caused by Covid-19 and will work in coordination with the Local Police and Emergencies.
The Oriolan City Council has provided the necessary logistics for providing the assistants the two months and the staff have been hired by the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response and will provide guidance on the beaches and coves of Orihuela Costa until 7th September.
