The Department of Tourism for Orihuela, headed by Mariola Rocamora, has presented the walking tours of the city scheduled for March, the focus of which is local poet Miguel Hernández to coincide with the 80th anniversary of his death.
The programme for the coming weekends has been created to suit all tastes and is the first to be announced since the department received an award for the ongoing initiative from the Spanish Confederation of Federations and Associations of Tourist Guides (CEFAPIT).
March will also see the introduction of a workshop. Entitled ‘Let me tell you’ will take place on Saturday 19th March at 11:30 in the morning. Aimed at children, where they can relax and read and listen to short stories by Miguel Hernández, in a space decorated with surprises.
