TORREVIEJA SPORTS CITY, THE PIONEERING APP FOR RESERVING MUNICIPAL SPORTS FACILITIES IS NOW AVAILABLE.
Torrevieja’s Sports Department this week launched an innovative mobile application which is free, multi-lingual and available on both iOS and Android devices.
Councillor for Sports, Diana Box, announced that, as well as Spanish, the new mobile app is available in 11 languages (English, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Valencian, Catalan, Basque and Galician), and is available for free on all mobile devices with iOS and Android operating systems. The main objective of the app is to make it easier citizens to book facilities such as the swimming pool or the municipal gym.
Through the easy to use interface, the user can set or change the language, consult and follow the town hall on their official profiles on social networks and even download documents. The app has a contact space with an interactive map with the location of the sports city, with information, characteristics and history of each of the facilities that make up the complex, as well as their opening hours.
The app was developed by CIE Informática, through a contract amounting to € 2,904 (VAT included) which included the development, creation, publication on official download platforms, team training of the council, as well as two physical QR code reading devices for the daily management of user reservations.
